Know Your Voice
Know Your Voice is a collaborative, supportive, and curiosity-led learning space for people to experience voice lessons, bodymind awareness exploration and self-discovery. A space that empowers you to live life, move, perform, sing, speak, and express yourself with boldness and joy!
Jingyun Ng (hi that's me) birthed Know Your Voice in 2016 with an initial focus on facilitating voice workshops for people to explore their speaking and singing voices for enjoyment and healthfulness. I've worked with people of various backgrounds and experience levels. We have super serious discussions and lots of fun discovering what your voice can do, and how to grow your voice to reflect more of who you are!
If you were part of the first workshops in 2016 and 2017, I'd like to share a gift for you here, as a thank you for believing in my vision when I was just starting out! (:
Since 2019, KYV has expanded to guide people through bodymind awareness exploration in group and individual settings. These sessions enable you to move through life with more ease, and overcome psychophysical blocks with resilience and adaptability. I have worked with:
-
Teachers to navigate classroom demands with more physical presence and bodymind wellness;
-
Instrumentalists (school-level, semi-pro and professionals) to build a psychosomatic wellness-and-awareness practice for career/playing longevity and effective motor learning, and to navigate performance anxiety and pain from repetitive movement;
-
Working professionals to hone self-assured adaptability, and in embodying their vision to nail interviews, presentations, and speeches.
From 2022, I've been offering Being & Becoming self-discovery sessions that enable you to draw from the creativity, rejuvenation and rest, and clarity you seek in living your envisioned life. These sessions enrich your experience of everyday life, so you feel revitalised and brave in shaping your life on your terms.
This is a trauma-sensitive, queer-affirming, neurodivergent-affirming, and disabled-aware space for:
-
Voice lessons
-
Alexander Technique-focused bodymind awareness exploration
-
Arts performance coaching
-
Nurturing mindfulness
-
Self-discovery
